Privacy Policy & Terms of Use for Routeonic
Privacy Policy for Routeonic
Privacy Policy - Routeonic
Effective Date: 5 September 2025
Last Updated: 12 June 2026
Thank you for using Routeonic ("we", "our", or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you download and use the Routeonic mobile application (the "App"), available on the Apple App Store.
We are committed to protecting your personal data and complying with applicable data protection laws, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), other US state privacy laws, and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), including Quebec's Law 25 where applicable.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Account details: your name and email address, collected when you create an account (including via Sign in with Apple), subscribe, or contact support.
- Route and delivery logs: the information you enter or generate while using the App — delivery addresses and stops, parcel counts, hours worked, earnings you choose to log, route ratings, and area/postcode districts you deliver in.
- Feature suggestions and support messages: the content of suggestions or enquiries you send us through the App.
1.2 Location data
With your permission, we collect precise and approximate geolocation data while you use the App. This allows the App to:
- Plan, optimise, and track your delivery routes
- Provide regional analytics and workload insights (e.g. postcode heat maps)
- Support core diary/logging features
Location is used while you are actively using the App. You can withdraw location permission at any time in your device settings, although this will limit core functionality. Addresses you type or import are sent to Apple Maps (MapKit) to be converted into map coordinates; Apple processes those requests under its own privacy policy.
1.3 Community statistics (aggregated)
Some delivery statistics you log (such as stops per hour, parcels per stop, and area ratings, grouped by postcode district) contribute to aggregated, de-identified community statistics — for example, the heat map that shows how areas compare for delivery work. These community statistics are averages across many drivers, are not published with your name or account details, and cannot reasonably be used to identify you. If you delete a logged route, your contribution to those aggregates is removed or decremented accordingly.
1.4 App usage and diagnostics
We do not embed third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the App. If you have opted in to share analytics with developers in your device settings, Apple provides us with aggregated usage statistics and crash reports. These do not identify you to us.
1.5 Device and technical data
When the App communicates with our servers we may process technical data such as device model and operating system, App version, IP address, and time zone and language settings. This data is used for security, troubleshooting, and regional features (e.g. defaulting your country).
1.6 Payment information
Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment card details. We receive only your subscription status (e.g. which plan is active) so we can unlock the App's features.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide core App functionality (route planning, delivery logging, statistics)
- Personalise your experience and display relevant information
- Build aggregated, de-identified community statistics such as area heat maps
- Analyse usage patterns and improve App performance and reliability
- Provide customer support and respond to your suggestions
- Send notifications related to account activity or important updates, and promotional messages only with your consent
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, abuse, or fraud
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use
3. Legal Bases for Processing (UK/EU Users)
Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on the following lawful bases:
- Contractual necessity: to provide the App and the features you sign up for
- Consent: for example, location access, notifications, and any promotional communications — you can withdraw consent at any time
- Legitimate interests: for service analytics, security, troubleshooting, and improving the App, balanced against your rights
- Legal obligation: where processing is required by applicable law
4. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We may share data only in these limited scenarios:
- Service providers (processors):
- Supabase — our backend infrastructure provider, which hosts our database and provides account authentication
- Apple — App Store distribution, billing, Sign in with Apple, and Apple Maps services (geocoding and mapping)
Service providers act under contracts that restrict them to processing data on our instructions.
- Law enforcement or regulators, where we are legally required to do so
- Business transfers, such as a merger or acquisition, in accordance with applicable privacy laws — we will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal data
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, row-level access controls (each account can only access its own data), and least-privilege server policies. While we take all reasonable precautions, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the service and fulfil the purposes in this policy. If you delete your account (available in the App under Profile → Account → Delete Account), your account record and your logged routes are permanently deleted from our systems. We may retain limited data where required by law (for example, records related to tax or fraud prevention).
7. Your Rights
7.1 All users
You can access, correct, and delete the data in your account directly in the App, and you can delete your entire account in-app at any time.
7.2 UK and EU users (UK GDPR / EU GDPR)
You have the right to: access your personal data; have inaccurate data corrected; have your data erased ("right to be forgotten"); restrict or object to processing; receive a copy of your data in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk); in the EU, your national data protection authority.
7.3 California and other US state residents
We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. You have the right to: know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; access it; correct it; delete it; and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. You may exercise these rights via the App or by contacting us at the address below. Authorised agents may submit requests on your behalf with proof of authorisation.
7.4 Canadian users (PIPEDA / Quebec Law 25)
You have the right to access and correct your personal information, withdraw consent (subject to legal or contractual restrictions), and ask questions or lodge complaints about our handling of your data. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at: contact@routerunnerapp.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by the law that applies to you (one month under UK/EU GDPR; 45 days under CCPA/CPRA, extendable as permitted; 30 days under PIPEDA).
8. International Data Transfers
Your information may be stored or processed outside your country, including in the United States, United Kingdom, or European Union. Where data is transferred out of the UK, EU, or Canada, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement/Addendum, EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or transfers to jurisdictions with adequacy decisions.
9. Children's Privacy
Routeonic is not intended for children under the age of 13 — or any higher minimum age that applies in your country (for example, certain EU member states set the age of digital consent between 13 and 16). We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the applicable minimum age. If we become aware that we have done so, we will delete that data immediately.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted in the App and/or on our website, and material changes will be highlighted. Continued use of the App after changes take effect indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.

Terms of Use for Routeonic
Terms of Use - Routeonic
Effective Date: 5 September 2025
Last Updated: 12 June 2026
Welcome to Routeonic ("we", "us", "our", or the "App"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Routeonic mobile application, including all content, features, services, and functionality offered through the App.
By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
To use Routeonic, you must:
- Be at least 13 years old, or the higher minimum age required in your country
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Not be barred from using the App under applicable laws
If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to use the App, and a person of legal age must complete any subscription purchase.
2. Purpose of the App
Routeonic is designed to help delivery drivers:
- Plan and optimise delivery routes
- Track and manage daily, weekly, and yearly parcel deliveries
- Monitor workload patterns and area insights
- Log delivery performance, hours, and earnings over time
The App is a personal productivity tool. It is not an employer management system or a delivery platform, and any route guidance, statistics, or estimates it produces are for information only — you remain responsible for driving safely and complying with road laws and your employer's or client's requirements. Do not interact with the App while driving.
3. User Accounts
You may be required to create an account and provide your name and email address (including via Sign in with Apple). You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Keep your login credentials secure
- Notify us immediately of unauthorised use or security breaches
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. You can delete your account at any time in the App (Profile → Account → Delete Account).
4. Subscriptions, Free Trial & Payment
Routeonic requires a paid subscription, offered as auto-renewing weekly, monthly, and annual plans, with pricing shown in the App before purchase.
- Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple Account through the Apple App Store at confirmation of purchase. We do not process or store payment information directly.
- Free trial. New subscribers may receive a free trial (currently 3 days). If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription begins automatically and your Apple Account is charged.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in your device's subscription settings (Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions) or via the Manage Subscription option in the App. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then.
- Refunds. Purchases are subject to the App Store's terms. Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Where you have mandatory statutory withdrawal or refund rights as a consumer (for example in the UK, EU, or Quebec), nothing in these Terms limits those rights.
- Price changes. If a plan's price changes, Apple will notify you in advance and, where required, ask for your consent before charging the new price.
5. User Responsibilities
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes, in a manner that does not infringe others' rights, and in accordance with these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
You must not:
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law
- Use the App to process third parties' personal data unlawfully
- Upload malicious software or interfere with the App's performance or security
- Sell, rent, scrape, or commercially exploit any part of the App or its data
- Submit false or misleading data designed to distort community statistics
6. Your Content & Community Data
You retain ownership of the delivery data you log in the App. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host and process that data to operate the App, and to include it in aggregated, de-identified community statistics (such as area heat maps) that do not identify you. Feature suggestions you submit may be used to improve the App without obligation or compensation.
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.
7. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the App and its content (including but not limited to code, design, logos, text, and graphics) are owned by Routeonic or licensed to us. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and the App Store's usage rules. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without prior written consent.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App, without notice, if you breach these Terms, your behaviour harms the App or its users, or we are required to by law or governmental request. Upon termination, your rights to use the App cease immediately. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time; if you have an active subscription, manage or cancel it through your Apple Account settings.
9. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free; that routes, statistics, community ratings, or estimates will be accurate or complete; or that the App will meet your expectations or productivity goals. Community heat-map data reflects aggregated user submissions and may not reflect current conditions. You use the App at your own risk.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law — including (for UK/EU consumers) liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Routeonic and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages; loss of data, business, or profits; or unauthorised access resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App (if any) in the 12 months prior to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Routeonic, its affiliates, and its personnel from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the App, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights. This clause does not apply to the extent prohibited by applicable consumer law.
12. Apple App Store Terms
These Terms are between you and Routeonic, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App (including product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual property claims). To the extent these Terms conflict with Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, Apple's minimum terms apply. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
13. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. You will be notified of material changes in-app or via email, and where required by law we will seek your consent. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
14. Governing Law & Disputes
- UK users: these Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales (or Scotland/Northern Ireland if you live there).
- EU users: you benefit from any mandatory provisions of the consumer protection law of your country of residence, and may bring proceedings in your local courts.
- US users: these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
- Canadian users: these Terms are governed by the laws of the province in which you reside and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
Nothing in this section deprives you of mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
15. General
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
